I am very anti water bottles in general, and to remove them from restaurants, then they should be removed from all stores, and then everyone and there mother will not be polluting further this earth, and filling the oceans with plastic because they are too lazy or ignorant to recycle. ooops did I say that!

Let's face it folks. Bottled water is on of the
most resource
intensive products we have, especially in view of
the fine clean water we
have readily available. The Eco-friendly folks
will BEAT us up on this,
making up statistics, trying to increase taxes on
water and the like.
The issue is not how to replace revenue but how
to articlute our
advocacy to continue to even sell water!

There is a place for bottled water and premium
bottled water. As a
health and safety issue bottled water looks great
in some applications.

Let the consumer decide should be our advocacy.

Unfortunately the people that start those mandates
will find reasons for why it is necessary citing their ideas
of pros and cons it is a free country after all with
freedom of speech and ideas(theirs)as far as revenue
loss for the non sale of bottled water(if this is one of
the reasons for the mandate) well than since we are
business people we will than adjust our priorities and
serve both gas and sans gas water out of a carafe
("Water bar, Epic, poggio, Farina etc.)so to eliminate
the middle man(bottled water company)and actually
raise the profit by simple lowering the costs. They didn't
think of that(than again thinking "first" is not their forte')

hope this helps.
sincerely

As a sales and marketing organization, the San
Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau's role is to
market the city as a visitor destination. We
have no position on political or governmental
issues, which are decided upon by the Mayor, the Board
of Supervisors, or the people of San Francisco -
and sometimes all three.

I am taking the liberty of sharing your message
with the Mayor's Office.

I understand that this is an important issue to
you and appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

Sincerely,
